Donald Joseph Qualls also known as DJ Qualls in America is an American actor and producer. Shooting to fame for his work as a character in Road Trip he has since appeared in over 20 feature films, including The New Guy Hustle & Flow as well as The Core. Also, he has been on over 22 shows, such as Breaking Bad Supernatural and Scrubs. Qualls has been diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma at age 14 and has been fighting this disease since. Within two years the cancer is now into Remission. But, earlier treatment had a severe impact on his health, and slowed development. Once he was taking on the role of an actor, financial security was his aim. He was a victim of poverty in his childhood. I've been living so cheaply and for so long, I'm able to have that financial security or my life feels out of control for me he stated in an interview. He also reminisces about his early years to help him stay motivated. DJ says that "Cruelty breaks the heart of my soul." The ideal job for DJs is one of a real father. Director doesn't pick him for these roles but he does say. He would like to become the father of his child one day in order to spend more time to the child as well as his professional.
